Microsoft Expression Web makes adding images simple. Along with this it also makes it easy to edit cascading style sheets. Because of this, Expression Web makes it very easy to add a little spice to your web pages with fun picture borders. You can make pictures look like their framed, make them look like buttons, or make cut out marks around your images. Here are the step by step instructions to make some fabulous effects with your pictures.
Add New Page
Insert a picture:
- Select Insert -> Picture -> From File, from the menu bar
- Select the Picture
- Click Open
Simple right, now you have a picture on your website. Now lets spice it up. If you are familiar with Cascading Style Sheets you know they can be somewhat complex. However, once again, Microsoft Expression Web makes this easy for us. Lets continue with the tutorial.
Add the CSS Properties to the Picture:
- Select the picture by clicking on it
- Select Format -> New Style
- There are a ton of CSS properties, lets focus on the Border category
- Play around with these settings
When you are done you will see a very fun picture. To make it look like cut out spots select dashed lines.
